This is at Yira Yira, which is basically a great neighborhood milonga in Buenos Aires. They love Rock and Roll in Buenos Aires, as is shown by these two. If you look closely you can see the little tango influences, especially in her footwork. Yes these young people are wonderful tango dancers too. So much joy, so many ways to express it.

They also love the blues - I went to a place in San Telmo and heard a great blues band - I even sang back-up for about two seconds! :-)
Hey, I've tagged you on my tango blog, if you don't mind ;-) Your participation is optional of course.
Yes, blues too, and jazz, and some country and western! Our Milonga teacher, Luis Canaan, had lived in Texas, and just wanted to talk about country dances (Texas two step, line dances etc.) he said it was really like milonga. I don't know, but they value the music, and the culture in a nice non snotty way.
P.S. I enjoy having your silver shoes around to remind me of beautiful dance moments! but I will give them back.
O.K. aobut the tagging, but not sure I will have time to follow up, maybe later. Gosh, blogging is the greatest tool for procrastinators ever invented.
Oh, no, too late, you are double tagged, so start procrastinating;
